After Fast times yesterday with Felipe Massa (Ferrari), Gary Paffett (McLaren) and Michael Schumacher (Mercedes GP), the second day of testing is underway with Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) taking the wheel of the new McLaren for the first time. Also, for the first time in a Sauber the mighty Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi takes to the track.
Today the FIA has confirmed the change in the scoring system. On the other hand, the FIA have also approved the pilots arriving in the Q3 will have to use the same tires bearing at the time the race starts. The new points system was originally 25-20-15-10-8-6-5-3-2-1 but is now 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1. The main change being 2nd place now has more incentive to go for the win.
